JOB DETAILS:
Yalelo is seeking a hardworking, innovative, and diligent Assistant Processing Manager with experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing or food processing. The Assistant Processing Manger will assist the Processing Manager with daily activities of Yalelo’s Processing Plant to provide leadership and oversight of Yalelo’s fish packaging and distribution process.
Location: The role will be primarily based in Siavonga

The Right Fit candidate will be responsible for:
• Setting weekly SMART Goals/ Processing KPI tracking for the Team.
• Team Performance Management i.e. track overall weekly, Monthly, and quarterly Performance.
• Official sign off on Orders & Payroll Inputs for Processing Team (Bonuses, Overtime, Sick leave, Absenteeism & Bereavement in collaboration with HR).
• Yearly Manpower planning and Leave Management.
• Recruitment & People Development- Training and Development in collaboration with HR.
• Ensuring all operations are cost-efficient and are running according to budget.
• Ensuring delivery of SKU’s on Time and in Full according to Demand Plan (Harvest, Process, Delivery, Volume).
• Grading (Grading fish into extra small, small, medium & large) and Cutting, Scaling and Filleting Fish according to required demand.
• Managing Warehousing.

The Assistant Processing Manager Must Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Technology, or Manufacturing Engineering, or in a similar discipline
• 3 years + of Progressive Management Experience in fresh food processing
• Knowledge of reporting tools
• Knowledge of Inventory Management systems
